The Online Interactive Map is just what you need when planing your next trip to the mall! This Users Guide will help you use the Online Interactive Map to find all the shops and services at West Edmonton Mall.
Just follow the instructions below, and immediately you'll make full use of the Online Interactive Map!

For best viewing and performance we recommend that your screen be set at a resolution of 800x600 or greater and that the Mapplet Window is maximized.

The Mapplet required Java 1.4 or better. If you are using a Windows system and don't have Java 1.4 or better, you will be given the opportunity to upgrade your Java. You can download the most recent version of Java from Sun.
- HUD (Heads Up Display) back to top

The HUD (Heads Up Display) control panel floats over the map giving you the ability to quickly view an area of the map, change floors, print, zoom in, and zoom out.
Clicking and dragging on the miniature version of the map will also change your view of the map.
If this button is enabled, clicking on it will show you the next higher floor.
If this button is enabled, clicking on it will show you the next lower floor.
Use this button to create a web page of the maps with your selected locations that you can print on your printer.
If this button is enabled, clicking on it will zoom in.
If this button is enabled, clicking on it will zoom out.
Use this button to minimize the HUD

Clicking the button on the right hand side of the map will maximize the size of the map.
When the map is maximized, you can restore it to its original size by clicking on it again.

Store and Quickview locations that you select are displayed in the map. You can click and drag to move the map around. Your highlighted store shows up in red the other stores are shown in blue. You can click on the name or push pin of a store to display it in the information area.

Selecting the tab will show the Category and Alphabet views of the stores, your selection history, and the Quickview icons.
The stores at West Edmonton Mall are shown with the same category structure as the main website.
The stores at West Edmonton Mall are shown by store name as in the main website.
Stores that you've selected, are shown in your history. If you click on the print button, your history
will be included in the printable web page.
Locations at the mall that you may want to find quickly are listed in this view. By using the Ctrl or Shift keys you can select or de-select multiple quickview items. - Location lists back to top

With both the Category and Alphabet views, double clicking on the category or letter of the alphabet will expand its listing. Control-clicking on the category row will let you "Add All" or "Remove All" of the stores in the listing. Double clicking on the store name will add it to your history and show it on the map. Double clicking an added store will remove it from your history. Stores that are in your history will have a
beside them.
The list icons in the Category and Alphabet views are colored to match the store's location on the map.

The Quickview listing shows the icon and name of the locations that you can find quickly on the map. Be sure to check out the panoramic views! If you click on any of the
icons in the map, a panoramic view at that location in the mall will open in a new window.
You can select more than one item in the Quickview listing by using either Shift keys or Ctrl keys in conjunction with your mouse button. Use Ctrl-click to select specific items and use Shift-click to select a range of items.

The name, phone number, floor, address within the mall, url, and notes are shown in the information area when you select a store. If the store has a URL, you can click the link to visit the store's website. This information is also included when you print out the map.
