A visit to West Edmonton Mall (WEM) enables you to experience a number of different adventures in one stop. It’s the perfect vacation destination!
Once you’ve checked in to Fantasyland Hotel or West Edmonton Mall Inn, it’s time to plan how you will attack the Mall. Your length of stay will help you determine how much time you can devote to all you want to do. There are more than 800 stores and services with everything from brand names to boutiques to one-of-a-kind and exclusive stores that the shopaholic will want to check out and nine world-class attractions the entertainment enthusiast will want to explore. So, first off – to get your bearings and a little exercise after travelling – we recommend you “walk the Mall” . . . all 5.3 million square feet of it. Then get a good night’s rest.
Ready to go? Make sure your energy level is high with nourishment from any of West Edmonton Mall’s more than 100 retailers that offer full menus or snacks. Eat up. Thrills await.
You’ll need at least half a day at each of Galaxyland Amusement Park and World Waterpark, where the fun factor can be as extreme as the thrills you seek. Galaxyland is the world’s largest indoor amusement park with 25 spectacular rides and play areas including three distinctive roller coasters, while the tropical World Waterpark boasts the world’s largest indoor wave pool and more than 20 unique waterslides as well as the world’s tallest indoor permanent bungee tower.
You’ll probably want to rest and refresh yourself back in your room before heading out to eat. Why not try Ed’s Rec Room for a casual meal, followed by bowling or billiards before turning in for the night.
A new day means new adventures. Enjoy the fabulous breakfast at Café Europa before seeking more thrills. Get caught up in the excitement of the park you didn’t play in yesterday or break up the exhilarating pace by skating at the Ice Palace and by perfecting your putt at WEM’s two very different mini-golf courses, Professor Wem’s Adventure Golf and Putt ‘n’ Glow.
Have a snack or full meal before hitting the stores. Be sure to stroll down WEM’s three theme streets for not only a unique shopping experience but a taste of culture, too. If you haven’t already dined at one of Bourbon Street’s incredible restaurants, take the time to plan where your next meal will be. Some restaurants will take reservations. You’ll be able to shop some more and even return to your room to freshen up knowing a table will be ready for you. Following dinner enjoy a movie at one of 21 movie screens, an evening of laughs at the comedy club or try your luck at the casino or bingo hall – all on-site – before turning in.
Want a quieter day? After breakfast or brunch, head to Deep Sea Adventure to take in the sights found along and in the world’s largest indoor lake. Jump aboard a bumper boat at Deep Sea Derby and then visit Sea Life Caverns and Sea Lions’ Rock. Want to get up close and personal with our sea lions?
